This Order, made under section 1 of the United Nations Act 1946, gives effect in the United Kingdom to certain provisions of Resolution 1970 (2011) of the Security Council of the United Nations adopted on 26 January 2011 (“the Security Council Resolution”), in response to the situation in Libya.
